Late Rally by Snowpeople Secures Win
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got a strong performance from pitcher Enrique Cruz, who stymied the Bompton offense en route to a 3-2 win at Corpus Christi Grounds. The Baby Lakers, at 6-14, have lost 5 in a row.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Ellesmere Island left fielder Wen Chua, facing Mike Bennett, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Snowpeople the 3-2 win.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Snowpeople manager Ramón Pantoja. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
