Baby Lakers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
The Bompton Baby Lakers got a strong performance from pitcher Liam Sorrell, who stymied the Amarillo offense en route to a 5-2 win at Field of the Browns. In 6.2 innings, Sorrell surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Shawn Coleman closed the game out for Bompton, earning his 2nd save.

The Baby Lakers got a big at-bat from right fielder Rich Watkins. For the game, Watkins was 1-3 with a walk. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 8th hit of the season gave Bompton a 1-0 lead.
