Higgins Leads Northern Lions BC to Win over Express
Thunder Bay and Wizarding met at Platform 9 3/4 in front of a lively crowd.

A 3-RBI performance from second baseman Denis Higgins, the 17 overall pick in the 2028 draft, led the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC to a 12-5 win over the Wizarding Express. The winner was Norberto Quintana in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Juan Torres took the loss.

Ricardo Téllez, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Thunder Bay cause in the top of the seventh inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 2, while adding 2 RBI.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Thunder Bay skipper Scott Williams.

Today's win puts Thunder Bay at 19-17, while Wizarding falls to 17-19.
