The Winter Haven Sun Sox trumped the Staten Island Pizza Rats, 12-8, at Roadrunners Stadium. Winter Haven catcher Russell Porter was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Winter Haven reliever Bligh Madris got the win, raising his record to 2-3. José Salinas was tagged with the loss. Winter Haven occupies 6th place in the Division 1 at 31-31.
