Interns Solve Canucks, 6-3
|
The Capital Hill Interns faced a tough opponent in Moose Jaw pitcher Gi-hyuk Tang, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Alouettes Ballpark by a final score of 6-3. Tang went 6.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Yeijiro Sakei got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits in 7.2 innings. The Canucks, now 4-16, have lost 8 in a row.
Dale Clark's at-bat in the bottom of the first inning was a big one for Capital Hill. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Capital Hill trailing 1-0, the shortstop reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Clark said.
