Pizarro Hits 2 home runs in Thundercats Win
|
The Richardson City Thundercats topped the Chicago Gold Sox by the score of 5-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Alfredo Pizarro. Pizarro was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Thundercats on the day. Richardson City, at 15-17, occupies 7th place in the Silver League.
Pizarro had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Bruce Wright, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Thundercats a 5-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Pizarro.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Richardson City manager Imran Kopitar. "It's usually not just one thing."
