Tafalla Helps Northern Virginia Cruise to 12-1 Win
Getting a good performance from shortstop Eustacio Tafalla, the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids defeated the Atlanta Smoke, 12-1. Tafalla went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Rainbow Mermaids. Raúl Gómez, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 7.2 innings. The Smoke, now 4-10, continue their poor start.
