Charles Atkinson put on a hitting clinic today as the Capital Hill Interns dumped the Valley View Cougars 14-0 at Alouettes Ballpark.

The Capital Hill center fielder made Valley View defenders earn their pay, lashing Valley View pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Atkinson said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Charles Atkinson singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Guillermo Santana in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
