Tight Tilt Goes to Octopi, 3-2
|
Ogallala Octopi starter Chi-young Zamora turned in a sterling performance against the San Diego Clippers, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. The save went to Pepe Pereira, his 4th this season. The Octopi' win now puts them at 33-25.
The Octopi got a big at-bat from shortstop Isagani Gorre. For the game, Gorre was 2-4 with 2 singles. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 55th hit of the season gave Ogallala a 3-2 lead.
"I felt good up there," said Gorre. "I saw the ball well."
