It wasn't easy but the Ladue Rams made it look that way.

Starter Kong Li shut out the Tulsa Otters despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Ladue Rams cruised to victory, 7-0. Li allowed only 5 hits and rang up 9 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

To date this year Li has won 3 and lost 3 with a 5.16 ERA, no saves and 53 strikeouts in 9 relief appearances.
