Shockers Fall to Centennial, 5-1
|
Fort Knox Centennial starter José Peña was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Surprise Shockers, 5-1. Fort Knox is now 29-26, while Surprise is 23-32.
Maxence Sultanbekov, who is tied for 9th in the PR in RBI with 28, aided the Fort Knox cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 3.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Fort Knox skipper Martin Richards.
