The Memphis Music turned back the Fort Knox Centennial, 5-4, at Ballpark of Baxter. Bob Williams was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The winner was Memphis reliever Jon Murillo, now 3-1. The loser was Mario Durán. Memphis now sits at 31-23, while Fort Knox falls to 28-26.
Williams had a game-changing single in the top of the ninth. On a full count cutter from Mario Durán, he banged a 2-run single to right, giving the Music a 5-4 lead. It was the 19th hit of the year for Williams.
