Late Rally by Northern Lions BC Secures Win
Great Northern Field was the site of a tense game between the Chicago Gold Sox and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC.

The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Chicago Gold Sox, 3-2, in United States Silver League action at Great Northern Field, with Thunder Bay pitcher Ramón Martínez named player of the game. The second-place Northern Lions BC improved to 15-11.

Ricardo Téllez was the walk-off hero for Thunder Bay. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Northern Lions BC shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Téllez told the Thunder Bay Citizen.
