Shockers Bridle Harbor Whales, 3-1

Tony Castro never let the Harbor Whales get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Shockers to a 3-1 win. Castro picked up the win for Surprise, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. Tao Seto finished the game for Surprise and earned his 3rd save.
Luis Garza drove in one run for Surprise. The 18-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Simon Wolston. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Surprise manager Eric Henley said.
The win moves Surprise to a record of 6-5.
