Blaze Win at Chicago, 4-3
|
The South Beach Blaze eked out a 4-3 win versus the Chicago Tula at Ramblers Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Howard Santana, who captured player of the game honors. The last-place Tula have lost 4 straight games.
Jason Graham was 2 for 4 with 2 singles for South Beach. The 20-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring single off Ren-qing Weng. It was his 41st hit of the season.
"Howard was pounding the zone," said South Beach manager Jared Gilbert.
