The Idaho Falls Chukars bested the South Beach Blaze, 4-2, at The Ballpark on the Beach. Corey Hines was named player of the game. He went 2 for 2 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. Idaho Falls reliever Rodrigo Hagen picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Shalom Levasier was saddled with the loss. Dan Gill, credited with the save, is now 5 for 7 in save opportunities.
Hines had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Chukars went on to win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Hines said.
The 8th-place Chukars have won 4 in a row.
