Victory Pushes Blaze Record to 37-36
|
In a low-scoring clash between South Beach and Phoenix, pitcher Will McLeod was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for South Beach in the 3-1 win. Juan Sánchez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities. South Beach occupies 5th place in the Premier A at 37-36.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, third baseman Ryoichi Yoshida came through big-time for the Blaze. With South Beach leading 2-1, he belted a solo home run.
