Black Cats Need Extras to Top Hotspur U-21
|
Sherten Apostel was superb against Phoenix. The left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the PA with a 1.07 WHIP, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 4-0 Black Cats victory. The Black Cats are now 38-29, while the Hotspur U-21 fall to 26-41.
The Hotspur U-21 had little chance against Apostel, who overpowered Phoenix hitters and struck out 13.
"Feels good to get the job done," Apostel said after the game.
