Akinmoladun Excels, But Tula Win
The Chicago Tula overcame a good performance by Provo second baseman Freedon Akinmoladun to knock off Provo, 10-4, at Mango Yard. Akinmoladun went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Chicago starter Ren-qing Weng was credited with the win after throwing 100 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 2-9. The save was credited to Carlos De La Garza, his 1st.

Chicago left fielder Román Sánchez helped the Tula to the win. In the top of the fourth inning, the 21-year old left fielder stroked a run-scoring double. For the game, Sánchez was 1-5 with a double.

"I know we have our doubters," said Provo manager Jamie Randall. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

Today's win puts Chicago at 24-38, while Provo falls to 29-33.
