Hotspur U-21 Solve BC, 5-2
|
The Phoenix Hotspur U-21 got a stellar performance from pitcher Jason MacDonald, who handcuffed the Put-In-Bay offense en route to a 5-2 win at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. Phoenix, at 24-36, occupies 9th place in the Premier A.
In the top of the third, Martín Talia hit a run-scoring triple for Phoenix. The 4th triple of the season for the Phoenix center fielder put the Hotspur U-21 on top, 1-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Phoenix manager Howard Martínez. "It's usually not just one thing."
