Shan Lifts River Rats to Win
The Columbia River Rats picked up a win at Walleye Tank, knocking off the Walla Walla Walleye, 8-1. On the mound for Columbia was right-hander Wei Shan, who played a pivotal role in the win. The losing skid has reached 7 games for Walla Walla.

Shan, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 8 in 9 innings and gave up 1 earned run.
