Hotspur U-21 Suffer 3-1 Loss to Chukars
|
Hotspur Kiddie Complex was the site of a tense game between the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 and Idaho Falls Chukars.
The Idaho Falls Chukars took Phoenix pitcher Felipe Filipe's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. The final score had Idaho Falls getting past the Hotspur U-21, 3-1. Filipe went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 6. Idaho Falls is now 20-22, Phoenix 17-25.
Idaho Falls grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, César Núñes delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Chukars.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Núñes.
