Dominant Performance by Weng in Chicago Win
|
Chicago beat Walla Walla on the strength of starter Ren-qing Weng's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. Chicago bumps their record to 17-20 with the win.
The Walleye had trouble solving Weng, who surrendered no earned runs on 3 hits over 8.1 innings.
Weng said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
