Phoenix rode a good effort from starter Felipe Filipe to beat the Chicago Tula at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. The final score was 3-2. Picking up the save was Coy Mitoglou, his 2nd. Phoenix currently is in 8th place in the Premier A at 12-15.

Phoenix took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jeff Oglethorpe stroked a run-scoring double to make it 2-1, Hotspur U-21.

After the game, Phoenix manager Howard Martínez applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
