The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at The Ballpark on the Beach, knocking off the Put-In-Bay BC, 2-1. Starting pitcher Ingo Abresch was an essential part of his team's success. South Beach has an impressive 16-8 record.
Ryoichi Yoshida's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for South Beach. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 2nd and South Beach leading 1-0, the third baseman reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run.
"The more wins we pile up," said Abresch, "the more I like our chances."
