Guzzlers Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
The Galesburg Guzzlers topped the Put-In-Bay BC, 9-5, with youngster Don Pokorski playing a key role. Pokorski was 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Guzzlers in the win. Galesburg reliever Bartolo Morales picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Eric Alderliesten was collared with the loss. The BC, now 9-4, continue their slow start.
Galesburg shortstop Yu-shu Tseng contributed to the cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, Tseng went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Tseng said.
