Chukars Squelch Walleye Offense in Shutout Win
|
Idaho Falls and Walla Walla got after it at Idaho Falls Park.
Getting a good performance from third baseman Cooper Lowe, the Idaho Falls Chukars defeated the Walla Walla Walleye, 4-0. Lowe was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs for the Chukars. The win was credited to Rodrigo Hagen in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Edward Bergeron took the loss.
Lowe had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Chukars went on to win.
"It was a solid team effort," said Lowe after the game.
The loss drops Walla Walla to 6-4.
