Victory Pushes Jets Record to 48-38
|
Kennesaw starter Cristóbal Román had a strong outing against the Washington Generals at Washington Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-2 win. Román picked up the win for Kennesaw, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 12-3. The win puts the Jets at 48-38, while the Generals drop to 40-46.
The game hit a turning point in the top of the fourth inning, when the Jets were trailing 2-1. John Shultz delivered a two-out 2-run single for Kennesaw, catapulting his team into the lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Román said after the game.
