The Washington Generals defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 4-2, in USSL Single A action at Washington Park, with Washington pitcher Dan Fletcher named player of the game. Sherman Harrison, credited with the save, is now 22 for 23 in save opportunities. The Generals improved to 40-45.
Had Eun-bum Song not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Song hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Generals.
Song told a Washington Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
