Jets Prevail, 2-0, Over Niagara Falls
|
The Niagara Falls Expos got a sterling performance from pitcher Ralph DePalma, but the Jets still prevailed, 2-0. DePalma was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. Kennesaw reliever Eduardo Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Ralph DePalma was saddled with the loss. Bill Tench notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Jets sent 22-year-old shortstop Sandor Addicks to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put Kennesaw on top, 2-0.
"We did just enough to win," Addicks said.
Kennesaw has 3 straight wins, Niagara Falls 3 straight losses.
