Hogsmeade Wins, Gallon goes 4-for-4
|
The Hogsmeade Cauldrons beat the Valley Blue Sox, 11-4, at Gators Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder Conor Gallon, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Doug Schmidt finished to wrap up his 1st save. Even with the win, the Cauldrons have a dismal 22-60 record.
With Hogsmeade leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Gallon hit a slider from Tom Hegedus for a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Cauldrons ahead, 2-0.
"Feels good to get the job done," Gallon said after the game.
