Acevedo Goes Wild, But Reapers Win
Despite a fine performance by shortstop Fernando Acevedo, the Washington Generals suffered a 11-10 loss to the Grim Reapers. Acevedo was 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Reapers' win now puts them at 23-31.

Had Keohi Iese not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Iese hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Reapers.

Reapers manager Enrique Zumaya wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
