Generals Continue Skid Thanks to Quesenberry, 1787 BC
|
Benefiting from Jeff Quesenberry's productive game, the Delaware 1787 BC downed the Washington Generals, 10-4. Quesenberry was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the 1787 BC. Ron Fernández got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 5 innings. Pjotr Melis closed the door for Delaware, picking up his 1st save of the year.
Carlos Mendoza tagged a home run off Mario Villalobos in the bottom of the fifth. His 3-run blast put the 1787 BC on top, 7-4. In all, Mendoza had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
Quesenberry called the triumph "a good team win."
