Victory Pushes Blue Sox Record to 25-23
|
Starting pitcher Dale Snider pitched well enough to help the Valley Blue Sox beat the Niagara Falls Expos by the score of 6-3. The winning pitcher was Snider, now 4-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 6 and fanning 2. Curt Wright earned the save for Valley, his 10th of the year.
Early in the game, designated hitter José Árias had a 2-run double for Valley. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Blue Sox on top, 2-1.
