The Wizarding Express beat the Athletic Club KC, 7-6, at Athletics Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop José Corona, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. The win was credited to Hao Wei in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Raúl Luna took the loss. Dorian Daly closed the door for Wizarding, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

In the top of the ninth inning, right fielder Cris Gonzáles delivered a key hit for the Express. With Wizarding trailing 6-5, he ripped a solo home run.

Gonzáles called the triumph "a good team win."

The loss drops Athletic Club KC to 3-4.
