|
Getting a good performance from first baseman Jason Slaybaugh, the Niagara Falls Expos defeated the Washington Generals, 7-4. Slaybaugh was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Expos. Niagara Falls, at 18-15, occupies 5th place in the Silver A.
Masaya, Nicaragua-born Cisco Gómez came through in the clutch. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st and the Expos trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run home run to left-center to put Niagara Falls on top.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Slaybaugh said.
