Jets Roll to 8-3 Win Over 1787 BC
|
The Kennesaw Jets faced a tough opponent in Delaware pitcher Alfredo Franco, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Carrier Field by a final score of 8-3. Franco went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Cristóbal Román, credited with the win, is now 5-1. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings. Kennesaw occupies third place in the Silver A at 19-12.
Thierry Honoré, who is tied for 7th in the SA in total bases with 57, contributed to the Kennesaw win with a grand slam home run in the top of the first. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
