Niagara Falls Expos starter Fernando Romero was in fine form against the Grim Reapers at The Coffin, leading his team to a 2-1 win. René Fontaine finished to wrap up his 3rd save. The 7th-place Expos improved to 9-11.
The Expos got a big at-bat from third baseman Alfonso Pacheco. For the game, Pacheco was 1-4. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 18th hit of the season gave Niagara Falls a 2-1 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Pacheco said after the game.
