Chiefs Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Connetquot Chiefs bested the Kennesaw Jets by a score of 6-4, with designated hitter Travis Grigor getting the main credit. On the day, Grigor went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for the Chiefs. Connetquot reliever Chris Thomason picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. John A. Mais was saddled with the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Chiefs have raced to a strong start this season.
Making an impact for the home team was Domingo Morín. In the bottom of the sixth, the 22-year old third baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 6-4, Chiefs.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Morín said.
