Thundercats Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Tomás Martínez, the Richardson City Thundercats defeated the Athletic Club KC, 5-2. Martínez was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Thundercats. Richardson City reliever Ricardo Gómez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ash Ibarra shouldered the loss. Richardson City, now 4-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
In the bottom of the fifth, Richardson City catcher Anselmo Berneu had a productive at-bat. With the bases empty and no one out, Berneu stroked a solo home run to left. It made the score 3-2, Richardson City. For the game, he belted 2 home runs.
