The Valley Blue Sox topped the Grim Reapers by the score of 10-8, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter José Álvarez. Álvarez was 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Blue Sox on the day. Valley reliever Jeremy Radwanski picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jonathan Floyd was saddled with the loss. Valley is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 5 games.
Rob Brooks drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Valley. The 19-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Finley Berose. It was his 1st walk of the season.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Álvarez said after the game.
