It was a fun time at The Dragon Den, where the Washington Generals and Yellowknife Dragonblood tangled.

Jonathan Gunner helped his team muscle past the Washington Generals, 9-7. In the game, the Yellowknife center fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Yellowknife reliever Santtu Öunap picked up the win to move to 2-0. Dan Fletcher suffered the loss.

Had Miklos Elias not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Elias hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Dragonblood.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Dragonblood manager Andha Gangulee. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

With the win, Yellowknife improves its record to 2-3.
