Expos Win at Grim, 4-2
|
The Grim Reapers got a superb performance from pitcher Bryan Mason. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Niagara Falls. The Expos won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Mason was named the player of the game. He came in in relief and pitched to 32 batters . Fidelio Zeri was the winner. Over 7.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 11 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Niagara Falls is off to a hot start at 2-0.
Jorge Rodríguez aided the Niagara Falls cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Rodríguez.
