The Myrtle Beach Seahawks picked up a win at York Park, knocking off the York Revolution, 4-3. Starting pitcher César Soto, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Myrtle Beach has now won 3 straight, while the Revolution have lost 3 in a row.
Al Ellis's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a changeup from Júlio Justiniano for a run-scoring double. It put Myrtle Beach in front, 4-3.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Soto told the Myrtle Beach Gazette.
