Franco Sensational for Bulls
The Mt. Vernon Bulls picked up a win at Ballpark of Mt. Vernon, knocking off the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 7-0. Starting pitcher Jesús Franco was an essential part of his team's success. Ken Borrego picked up the save, his 3rd. Mt. Vernon has now won 3 straight, while the Seahawks have lost 3 in a row.

The Seahawks had trouble solving Franco, who surrendered no earned runs on 1 hit over 7.1 innings.

In comments to the Mt. Vernon Gazette, Franco admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
