Syracuse shortstop Greg Schiff played a vital role in his team's 7-4 triumph over York. He went 3-4 with 3 singles for Syracuse. Manuel Montero was credited with the save for Syracuse, his 4th of the season. Syracuse now owns a record of 43-38.
Salvador Ramírez's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Júlio Justiniano for a 2-run single. It put Syracuse in front, 6-4.
