Dragoons Suffer 4-2 Loss to Seahawks
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks topped the Louisiana Dragoons, 4-2, in M3L Single A action at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. The player of the game was Myrtle Beach pitcher and New Plymouth, New Zealand native Angelo Rawnsley. Rawnsley went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-2. The save was credited to Chris Whitfield, his 2nd.
The game was on the line with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, but Chris Whitfield didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Louisiana trailing 4-2, Whitfield retired Francisco Enríquez to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Whitfield, with a wink.
