The Mancelona Torch had to overcome a big game from Myrtle Beach right fielder Augusto Reyes to leave Seahwaks Stadium with a 5-4 victory. Reyes went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. Mancelona reliever Tim Sharp was credited with the win, to go to 9-2. Gunnar Hoglund took the loss for Myrtle Beach. Geoffroy Cadaloba closed it out for his 13th save.

It could have been a different outcome for Mancelona, had it not been for Ángel Pérez, the slick-fielding center fielder . Pérez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Mancelona up, 5-3.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Mancelona manager Pablo Santos.
