Victory Pushes Dragoons Record to 45-25
|
It was a fun time at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, where the Mt. Vernon Bulls and Louisiana Dragoons tangled.
The Louisiana Dragoons got a strong performance from pitcher Giel Overwater, who stymied the Mt. Vernon offense en route to a 2-0 win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. The winning pitcher was Overwater, now 5-1. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6.
Early in the game, center fielder Carlos Barrera had a run-scoring double for Louisiana. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Dragoons on top, 1-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Overwater told reporters after the game.
The Dragoons bumped their record to 45-25 with this latest triumph.
