Victory Over Revolution Takes Louisiana to 44-25
|
York second baseman Tony Ayala had a good game, even if his team did not. The Revolution dropped a 7-5 decision to Louisiana at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Ayala went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times. Benjamin Weightman got the win, improving to 5-5. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2. Louisiana is now 44-25, York 28-41.
The Dragoons benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the second. With Francisco Enríquez at bat and Louisiana leading 1-0, the York miscue allowed Louisiana to plate 2 and take the lead, 3-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Enríquez told the Louisiana Daily.
